Trainee Wealth Manager Programme

Our Trainee Wealth Manager Programme will help you to progress from a graduate to a fully trained Wealth Manager. The programme consists of three stages that will give you all the training and qualifications you’ll need.

For the first stage, you’ll be a Wealth Planning Student. In your day-to-day role you’ll shadow experienced financial services professionals, work on a business-focused project, and be given the opportunity to study towards an industry-recognised investment qualification.

After three months, you’ll progress to a Wealth Planning Assistant. Here you’ll work closely with our Wealth Managers. This means you’ll be liaising with clients, attending meetings, and gaining insight into the day-to-day role of a Wealth Manager. Alongside this, you’ll be studying for the qualifications required to further your career.

The final stage is becoming a Wealth Manager. Once you reach this stage you’ll be managing your own clients. You’ll help us to grow our business by finding new clients, whilst also completing ongoing client-related tasks and attending appointments with your existing clients for reviews or queries.

What are We Looking For?

We want candidates with a passion for finance that see themselves pursuing a career in the industry. Ideally, you’ll be a recent graduate/be expected to graduate with a good degree, or be able to demonstrate degree level thinking.

You need to be willing to learn. Studying with a full-time job isn’t easy; our study plan is intensive and requires extra commitment for success. Though the workload may be high, we expect you to be tenacious in wanting to complete all tasks to a high standard. This means you need to be able to write coherently and have excellent spelling and grammar. You’ll also need to be numerically literate with the capability to explain financial data in straightforward terms using your excellent communication skills.

Clients are very important to us. You need to have a professional and personable manner since you’ll be building relationships with them and the team. Our clients often compliment our integrity and credibility, and these are qualities we hope you’ll possess too.
